Recommendations for language switcher and translation plugin

Hi,

do you have any recommendations for language switchers and translation plugins?
I need to translate the site to English and German.
Ideally, the switcher recognises the browser language. User should be able to select her language.

Thanks for that. I am using polylang now.
But there’s a weird issue with pages that are set to german: when I try to add an image, the image media library is just empty?

My bad. Having media translation active.
It’s kind weird to have to upload an image twice just to add a translated description. What patchwork solution…

My bad again. The image itself isn’t duplicated, just the entry in the media library. Still hackish. But, alas, that’s Word Press.
Btw, it would be nice to be able to edit my posts to this forum.
