Posts in masonry grid not updating

Hello!

I added a module with masonry grid on a page and the problem is that posts don’t show up on the site in that grid unless I enter after every post I publish in “edit your portfolio layout” and only then I save the grid and the post shows on the site. What’s going on?

The second problem with the same masonry grid is that even if I select the option that newer posts to show at the beginning or at the bottom of the grid nothing happens. The third problem is that if I select to show ALL the posts not just in a specific category the posts overlaps on top of each other.

Welcome to SeaTheme forum.

The masonry supports to show images of the media library, single post, portfolio , and woocommerce product. It must to set a category for single post, portfolio , and woocommerce product.

It is a customized grid layout that is manually dragged and edited, so if you add or delete some posts, it must be re-edited(edit your portfolio layout) before it can be displayed normally.

I am not sure if understand the 1st question. Please check if the posts(or portfolio, product) is set a Featured image, and the posts should be published status instead of draft or private status. These 2 reasons will cause the post to not be displayed.

So this is a grid only to show a gallery with featured images from posts…
I wanted to show posts not images like that… is there a way?

Ah, I think I’ve found how, the grid module does. But I can’t find a way to show some text preview from the post not from excerpt. Can I?

And the second option I don’t find it is to put the title above the image and text not below.

Welcome!

The Grid module can show single Post without the featured image. But the short description must come from the excerpt. (PS, it is not form the excerpt, where does it come from?)
And the item style should be set with “Image+Text”

thanks for the reply! just one more question!

I can’t believe that I spent 1 hour to figure it out on a theme how to change the background image of the website! In appearance/customize/change background theme doesn’t work… on the page that is assigned as homepage it has only none or color… in theme options I couldn’t find… Thanks!

HI,

It is possible to add BG image by appearance/customize. Please paste the custom CSS code to “Appearance > Customize: Additional CSS”, it will show the BG image instead of solid color.

If it doesn’t work still, may I check your website? Could you please leave your wp-admin(URL / username/password) with picking up “Set as private reply”?

Another problem I’ve found: I selected video as background to a group. Everything works well but despite the fact I enabled the scroll down icon, it doesn’t show up, it appears just for a second when I refresh the page and is loading the video, and when the video shows up the scroll down button disappears. Any idea? Thank you!

now I have another question 😀

when I hit that scroll down icon it scrolls down but the header overlaps an area from the upper side of the content… I would love to go down only as much as the bottom edge of the header should stick to the upper edge of the content. Do you know how to make work like that?

P.S.: The header has a solid background color and it hides a part of the upper area of the content.
