Hello
I would like to setup a page that looks exactly like this in layout:
https://vadc-studio.com/projects
1) Thumbnail gallery on the right.
2) Each thumbnail a new page or portfolio.
3) Links to same thumbnails/pages/portfolios on the left.
4) Layout stays the same regardless on which page/portfolio you are on.Could you please advise on the step needed to do that?
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
C
May 31, 2024 at 12:23 pm #30832Hi, you can add a Text and a Grid module, add text links into the Text module, and display this Portfolio in the Grid module. The Text module needs to input these text links manually. On the sub-project pages, correspondingly modify the color of this title.
Regards!
SeaTheme – FAQs – WordPress Customization – FacebookMay 31, 2024 at 12:44 pm #30834Thank you for the reply. I have just done that on a new test page.
I have placed both the text and grid modules in a group. Should they be in a group or not?
How can I get both the text and the grid module to align? (please the attached image).
Many thanks.

June 1, 2024 at 2:50 am #30839Hi, welcome
It is not necessary to use Group if there other requirements. Please check if there is top margin on the text module, try to reduce the width of the Text also.
Please leave the issued webpage URL also if it does not work.
Regards!
SeaTheme – FAQs – WordPress Customization – FacebookJune 2, 2024 at 6:03 am #30856Hi,
I’ve tested it with both modules in and outside a group module and i cannot get the text and grid module to appear next to each other. I’ve tried resizing them (reducing both of their widths) but it still doesn’t work. There’s no top margin on the text module.
This is the url:

Many thanks.

June 3, 2024 at 12:50 am #30860Hi,
Thank you for providing the link, which can help identify the cause more quickly. It is because the Grid module has been set with an offset. Do not set the offset for this mod, just set the width only, and it will align automatically with the Tex mod.
DO NOT set offset(move right/left):

SeaTheme – FAQs – WordPress Customization – FacebookJune 3, 2024 at 10:02 am #30862Hello,
This worked, thank you.
So as I understand, this works on a 12 column width system. Currently I have the text module set to 3 columns and the grid portfolio set to 9 columns, so a total of 12. However, I would like for:
1) both modules to start from the edges of the screen, and then for me to be able to set my left/right padding as I wish. Ideally I would like for the text module to align under the logo/header on the left of the screen and for the grid portfolio to align under the cart icon/header on the right of the screen.
2) both modules to have a gap between them and to be able to set that gap width as I wish.
I tried adding both modules in a group, then ‘forced content to fit full width’ and then set the left padding for text module as I wish to align with my logo on the header, but I cannot find how to add right padding on the grid portfolio to align it to the cart icon.
How do I add padding on the grid module?
Can I add padding to modules if they are not in a group?
Many thanks for your help.
Regards,
C
June 4, 2024 at 2:53 am #30867Hi,
1) It needs a Group out the Text and Grid mods
2) There is a default spacing between modules. It can be edited globally on theme option only.
I tried adding both modules in a group, then ‘forced content to fit full width’ and then set the left padding for text module as I wish to align with my logo on the header, but I cannot find how to add right padding on the grid portfolio to align it to the cart icon.
Try to set “Inner Padding on Right” on the Group
How do I add padding on the grid module?
it is possible via ‘inner padding’ of Grid mod’s ‘List BG option’
Can I add padding to modules if they are not in a group?
You can set padding (Top Padding, Left Padding…) for Text mod also.
Regards!
SeaTheme – FAQs – WordPress Customization – FacebookJune 5, 2024 at 5:01 am #30875Hello,
Thank you for the help. I have managed to make the main layout but I still a few questions please.
Just like this website:
https://vadc-studio.com/xo-sarck
1) I would like to have links on the bottom of the page, that will lead to next/after pages. I tried to use the post navigation modules but I can’t set them up to look like on the page above. How can I achieve this?
2) Is possible, once you hover a thumbnail on the grid/portfolio which is on the right, for the text/link on the left to change colour and vice versa?
3) Currently I have all the grid items on this (home) page leading to a portfolio but the layout of each portfolio is completely different to this initial (home) page. How can make each portfolio to look like the initial (home) page that directs to them (text links on left, but current portfolio on the right). Do I have to setup each portfolio page separately?
Many thanks for your help again.
Regards,
C
June 6, 2024 at 1:03 am #30876Hi, welcome
1) the next/after(Post navi) mod can be get only for single post or portfolio
2) It is not possible via default feature or quick CSS
3) Yes, you need to setup each portfolio page separately. Please try to [Insert/Save Template] function.
Regards!
