Custom post types for Portfolio pages

Hello,
Is there some code you can provide that I can add to functions.php to add custom post types for Portfolio pages? I’d like to use the metadata to link to external sites for custom post type “link”

Regarding how to add meta, please refer to this post.

But this method is not very easy to implement. It not only requires modification in the function file but also the relevant PHP code on the front-end page. Maybe there is an easier way. Could you provide more detailed information?

Hi, thanks for getting back. No, not <meta> tags — I mean I’d like to set an option in the backend of Portfolio posts so instead of them pointing to other posts on the front end, the tiles link to external website, like http://example.com for instance. I can do this with custom fields, but just wondering if you already have a solution since Portfolio is a custom post type Air theme introduces.

There are two solutions without modifying the code.

1. If you create the portfolios page via BM content builder, set source as “Media Library” instead of “portfolio”. You can also set a custom URL(URL of external website) in the WordPress “Media Library”.(check video guide at 04:40)

2. You can install a redirect plugin, redirect the single portfolio post URL to the URL of external website.
