Breadcrumbs in WooCommerce not adding via plugins

I have now tried 3 different plugins to add breadcrumbs to products (and other pages) pages in ART theme, but none are displaying.

If I manually add code to the theme, will it get overwritten when WooCommerce plugin is updated?

Any advice for getting breadcrumbs to display would be appreciated.

It will be overwritten when the ART theme is updated.
You can modify the template files via a child theme, refer to: How to install a Child theme(click).

So is that the only way to make it work? Are you saying it wont work using the plugins?

If I install a child theme, will it overwrite all my settings of the site I have created?

Hi,

You can use plugins. As far as I know, most breadcrumb plugins also need to be used in conjunction with modifying template files. If you need to modify a template file, you can directly modify the theme’s template file. However, after the theme is updated, the modified code will be overwritten. If a child theme is used, the modified code will not be overwritten. refer to: How to install a Child theme(click).
