Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'split' of undefined

Hi,

I have been having a serious issue with this theme since Friday night. Some of the larger pages simply do not load past the loading screen, and in the Chrome inspector I am seeing the following error:

There is also the following error appearing in the error log on wpengine:

I do have a child theme that includes some custom css and functions, but these are separated out in a child theme, and i have tried deactivating it to make sure its not interfering. With assistance from wpengine, I have ruled out every other possibility and they told me it is a theme issue, so now I’m coming to you. Could you please assist me with this ASAP?
