Turn my Blog a real Blog

So in my site, I want to make my blog work as a blog. First, it would shock with my portfolio since they are kind of the same category. I manage to make a “category” as blog and put them in the “blog” page to appear like that.

The problem is that I’d like them to be shown as /blog and second, I’d like them to have modifications in the template for the posts but I can’t.

The sidebar is always showing and I don’t want that.

I’d like to show the featured image to be shown in the title as I have in the 2 post I have published.

Also, why does it always says “News” in the title? Where does it come from?

Because the Blog page is selected as the default WP Posts page

1) Please go to Settings>Reading, unselect the Blog page in the “Posts page” selector. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5sutut0zbs354bg/qq20200715-112037.jpg?dl=0

2) Please edit this page https://www.morfema.mx/blog/ (click “Edit Page” on the admin bar)
set “Page Template” as “Blog Masonry”, set without sidebar and other options. The News title will be gone.

I don’t totally understand.
Unselecting Blog would not disappear my blog or making it not show my posts?

Hi,

It will let the Blog page(in Pages>All Pages) be shown its own settings self.

If you don’t understand still, please send your question(this topic URL) and wp-admin(URL / username/password) to uiueux@gmail.com, I’ll log in to set it.

Please go to theme Options > Layout, enable “Show Meta On Post Content Page”, pick up “Author”
