Smooth scroll to an anchor on the same page

Hi

I have an icon in my social media header that links to an anchor further down the page, and I would like to make the transition smooth, as it is when one clicks the “back-to-top”. Is there an id or class I can use that will do this?

I’m talking about the envelope anchor in the header here (Desktop only): http://madaboutcopenhagen.dk

under

or use child theme
