Site Extremly slow

Hi there

I have a site with this template – we are only starting to load up content now and its getting extremely slow. that it takes over a minute to load a blog post. I have only installed 2 other small plugins (What The File and Duplicate Post).

Is this common?

what can be done to improve the situation?

Hi, try to use W3 total cache, it is free wp plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/
It would help to speed site.

UPDATE:

i installed the plugin you suggested.

the site does not seem faster at all – and its also saying on the top “No theme CSS loaded” and the loading logo never disappears.

i guess i will remove this plugin.

would really like to hear what else you can suggest for the site speed. You have never had any issues like this?

I tested on my local, there is not the error tips.
