Post layout as Page (in order to set startpage)

Hey there,

we wanted to know if there is a way to set a post as a start page ? Since the Layouts of posts and pages is divided and we didn’t want to use a grid as a start page.

We wanted to use this example:

http://themes.uiueux.com/arnold/2016/11/01/al-salama/

as a startpage.

Can you help us or tell us how to accomplish this ? Plugins like “Post Type Switcher” don’t work, since the layout structure isn’t working anymore, after you switched a post to a page.

Hi,

It is not possible to set a single post as your homepage in WordPress by default, but it can be done with plugins.

– Download a plugin under Plugins → Add New that allows adding custom links to posts or redirecting posts.

– One such plugin is “Page Links To” however please do your own research to determine the best plugin for you.

– Create a page called “Home” and add the link to your post wherever your plugin allows. For Page Links To, the field is at the bottom of the post.

– Click Publish

– Go to Settings → Reading and select Static page, then select the Home page in the Home Page menu.
