    Hi,
I am having trouble with my portoflio page. When I choose “masonry” it staggers a couple of the images so they don’t line up evenly. If I change to “grid thumbnail” it changes the shape to a couple of the images and just looks strange. Is there anyway to get it so that it all lines up? I looked at the template https://theme.seatheme.net/air/ and the images line up, so I’m not sure why they don’t on my page? All the shapes are the same size, so I don’t know what is wrong. It doesn’t look like I can attach a screen shot.

Also, on the template that I linked too, there is less space between the heading and the categories. On mine, there is a lot of space. Am I able to remove some of the extra space?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Please use the “Masonry Grid” template. You need to set the shape for each post(gallery format), please edit a post(gallery format), you will see shape option: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v7ugthemclfmovi/qq20200528-150954.jpg?dl=0

I don’t what’s the template about the spacing issue, could you please paste an issued webpage URL? Thanks!

    Regards!

Thank you! I set the same shape for every image, so that isn’t the issue. When I try masonry grid, it only displays one image per row, despite having it set to 3 columns. Masonry seems to be what I want, except for the images don’t all line up (2 are staggered which makes it uneven). Not sure why grid thumbnail changes things. But, if you could at least tell me how to make things even, that would be great. All the shapes are the same size, but even if I wanted to mix it up, like in the demo template, they should still line up.

    Thanks!

    Hi

    Welcome.
I checked your website, it is 3 columns, it is what I saw on my computer: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v2gqj3gzu237d16/qq20200529-103121.jpg?dl=0

What’s the device you use to test? A mobile phone?

PS: I want to know what’s a layout you want to build, is like the demo? >> https://theme.seatheme.net/air/

You should set different shape, you will see the grid shape are different on the demo. It is the key:

Please use the “Masonry Grid” template. You need to set the shape for each post(gallery format), please edit a post(gallery format), you will see shape option: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v7ugthemclfmovi/qq20200528-150954.jpg?dl=0

Hi, I think maybe you misunderstood me. On my site, I had masonry, 3 column, all images set to the wide rectangle. I really liked the way that looked, except for the rows did not line up. When I tried masonry grid, that is when went to one column (you saw 3 columns, because I had it set to masonry, not masonry grid).

I took your advice, and set to a different shape. This time, they are ALL set to the small square. I also changed to masonry grid. This is not what I want all. The second row is smaller than the first, despite all the images being the same size and set to the same shape. Also, you’ll notice that the first, second and last image are partly cut-off.

Is there any way to use masonry with the wide rectangle like I had it when you looked at it, and have all the rows line up? I’m keeping it at masonry grid using the small square so you can see what I mean.

Also, regarding the layout I am looking for, it will be similar to the sample provided, but I want rows of 3 with exactly the same shape, all lining up. I will adding more and changing some out, so I just want to figure out the layout first. Also, I mentioned the space between the header and the filter. in the example site, there is less space. Is there any way to do that on my site?

If you could please look and advise, I would appreciate it.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Thanks for your information. I really don’t know what’s the layout you want.
Do you want 3 columns? Are all thumbnails with the same or different sizes?

Could you paint a sketch to explain it? You could upload the image to Dropbox or send it to uiueux@gmail.com(paste the ticky URL also). Thanks!

Hi, just something simple, like this: http://samara.computer/531_adaptive/startbootstrap-master/startbootstrap-master/3-col-portfolio.php

I just want all the icons display as the same size (since the actual image is the same size, and the same shape was selected for all images).

Right now I want 3 columns, but even if I switch to 2, I would still want the icons the same size, like in this example: https://theme.seatheme.net/air/home3/. Is this not the right template for that?

As I mentioned, the masonry (not masonry grid) seems close to what I want, but for whatever reason, the icons are staggered, so that it isn’t an even row. When I try masonry grid, as you can see, the middle row icons are now a different size than the top row. And the images inside some of the boxes are cut-off.

Is there a setting I can use to fix the staggered icons in masonry? Or CSS to overide it?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

It is not necessary by the CSS, there is the template.

Please set as the “Grid(Thumbnail+Title)” template: screenshot>> https://www.dropbox.com/s/mwbm5wi7klu1xcj/qq20200601-133855.jpg?dl=0

    Hi again,

Perhaps I’m not explaining myself very well. I’ve tried each of the templates, and as I mentioned in my intial message, I run into trouble with each of them. I really am just hoping you can help troubleshoot and fix the issues that I am running into. As I mention, masonry is what I want, but can’t the fix the problem I have with it.

    Masonry Grid: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_7IMwuVr0MHlHOUYRJdvqCwjrJm1wD6C/view?usp=sharing
Problem: middle row pictures are smaller than the first and third row images. All the images are the same size, and the same shape has been selected for each post, so why don’t they display at the same size? Also, the last image (third row) is somehow distorted, and the image inside the box gets cut off.

    Masonry: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Mblhjs0f-aF2hW2NTwzaUfcv7DYfhpP0/view?usp=sharing
I really wish I could use this template–this is what I want. However, the images in the left column do not line up with the images in the other columns. This makes the rows uneven. How can I fix this?

    Grid: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1f5uSqCRiwJNmTR_trv3C_4gK6DG6xyih/view?usp=sharing
    Same problems as masonry grid

    Grid + title https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EJoEKmGLA2RfaI6egpcEyylZPU_qzTyO/view?usp=sharing
Again, same problems as grid and masonry grid. Middle row icons different size. Images cut off.

As I mention, I really like the look of Masonry the best. However, the rows aren’t even. Is there a way I can fix this? I really hope you can help so I don’t have to find another theme 🙁

    Thanks.

    Hi,

If you want to use the Masonry template with the same size no-corpped images, please do the 2 things:

    1. Remove the custom CSS marked in the screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4kmb2fnj63pq4ao/qq20200602-100300.jpg?dl=0

    2. You should edit the images and make them in the same size in your computer(like by Photoshop), Re-upload the images to your website.
