I tried to make a signup form for mailchimp and make a downloadable book out of it but everytime I try to click on the button it does nothing as if the button didn’t work.
The pop-up version works fine (not the option I want). Just wanted to test it.

Please help.April 4, 2020 at 7:15 am #20793Hi,
I can see the success info: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5i331nzj97hscpf/QQ20200404-150818.jpg?dl=0
But the popup panel cannot be closed: https://www.dropbox.com/s/x7h5wekvmhar8qa/QQ20200404-151009.jpg?dl=0I cannot find the reason based on the current information. Please give me more tips. How did you add the form?
ps: I found a 404 issue https://www.dropbox.com/s/uw9ix0uxx90digs/QQ20200404-151030.jpg?dl=0
I am not sure if it is the reason.Regards!

April 4, 2020 at 8:41 pm #20798Yeah! What I meant is… the pop up actually works. (Won’t close but it suscribes). I don’t want the pop up though.
What I want is that the form that is embedded in the site actually works. If you try subscribing it doesn’t send the subscription nor anything.
April 7, 2020 at 5:31 pm #20833Can you please help me out here? What I’m installing is the Godaddy code it gives you which is here:
<!-- Begin Mailchimp Signup Form --> <link href="//cdn-images.mailchimp.com/embedcode/classic-10_7.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> <style type="text/css"> #mc_embed_signup{background:#fff; clear:left; font:14px Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; } /* Add your own Mailchimp form style overrides in your site stylesheet or in this style block. We recommend moving this block and the preceding CSS link to the HEAD of your HTML file. */ </style> <div id="mc_embed_signup"> <form action="https://morfema.us16.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=d990d9ad25d7b8b7089a449c1&id=8fc69339c5" method="post" id="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" name="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" class="validate" target="_blank" novalidate> <div id="mc_embed_signup_scroll"> <h2>Subscribe</h2> <div class="indicates-required"><span class="asterisk">*</span> indicates required</div> <div class="mc-field-group"> <label for="mce-EMAIL">Correo electrónico <span class="asterisk">*</span> </label> <input type="email" value="" name="EMAIL" class="required email" id="mce-EMAIL"> </div> <div class="mc-field-group"> <label for="mce-FNAME">Nombre <span class="asterisk">*</span> </label> <input type="text" value="" name="FNAME" class="required" id="mce-FNAME"> </div> <div class="mc-field-group"> <label for="mce-TEL2">Celular </label> <input type="text" value="" name="TEL2" class="" id="mce-TEL2"> </div> <div id="mce-responses" class="clear"> <div class="response" id="mce-error-response" style="display:none"></div> <div class="response" id="mce-success-response" style="display:none"></div> </div> <!-- real people should not fill this in and expect good things - do not remove this or risk form bot signups--> <div style="position: absolute; left: -5000px;" aria-hidden="true"><input type="text" name="b_d990d9ad25d7b8b7089a449c1_8fc69339c5" tabindex="-1" value=""></div> <div class="clear"><input type="submit" value="Subscribe" name="subscribe" id="mc-embedded-subscribe" class="button"></div> </div> </form> </div> <script type='text/javascript' src='//s3.amazonaws.com/downloads.mailchimp.com/js/mc-validate.js'></script><script type='text/javascript'>(function($) {window.fnames = new Array(); window.ftypes = new Array();fnames[0]='EMAIL';ftypes[0]='email';fnames[1]='FNAME';ftypes[1]='text';fnames[4]='TEL2';ftypes[4]='text';}(jQuery));var $mcj = jQuery.noConflict(true);</script> <!--End mc_embed_signup-->When pressing the button, it does nothing. According to mailchimp, is because of the template.
April 8, 2020 at 2:42 am #20834Please stop all plugins to check if it works.

I didn’t find the codes on your wp-admin. I suggest you use a plugin to add the popup box.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/boxzilla/you could enter the subscribe codes into this plugin.
Regards
April 11, 2020 at 1:35 am #20888But I don’t need a popup! I want a simple form with a button that sends the registration directly to mailchimp. It should be a way to embed provided by Mailchinp the code in the page. I’m using the “text box”

April 12, 2020 at 2:28 am #20904Hi,
Because the codes on this page(https://www.morfema.mx/aprende-a-vender-en-linea/) are lacked the JS codes.
Please paste ALL codes mentioned here https://seatheme.net/forums/topic/mailchimp-embedded-code-for-signup-form-is-not-working/#post-20833

April 15, 2020 at 9:15 pm #20950I really really don’t understand your instructions. That’s exactly what I do everytime. But I’m pretty sure you did something different because everytime I try to edit the page you created it won’t let me. It shows no menus nor controls nor settings.

April 16, 2020 at 3:14 am #20959Hi,
Because of the embed code (javascript) will affect the editor, so the editor will not be shown. It means that this page will not be edited except removing the Text block. The better way is to move the CSS/JS codes(and linked) to the child theme.
There is another solution to show the Mailchimp box on the footer(Arnold v1.7.9 at least) https://seatheme.net/forums/topic/how-to-show-mailchimp-newsletter-subscription-form-on-the-footer/
