Just a beginner

I have started my front page by making a new page and using the masonary grid. I would prefer to do this rather than using a template because I want to be able to customise the grid. I don’t know if this is the right way to start. Then how can I link the images on that front page to a portfolio page or other pages where I do use templates for showing multiple images.
I don’t know how to do code and if I have to add this, where do I find it on the wp dashboard?
I also don’t know how to make a url for a page and link it to another page/ portfolio.
Finally how can I have the menu showing without a logo?
I hope you don’t mind that I ask so many basic questions.

Hi,

If you select the Portfolio as the source of the Masonry Grid module, it will link to the single portfolio, of course you need to create some single portfolios(how to). If you select Media library as the source, you could set Custom URL for each image:
