Hi, i just installed your theme and it’s working great. The one thing I’m confused about is the slider feature. I am now beginning to understand that it works with the posts I create and it uses the featured image for the slider. I want to create just image slides without relating them to a post. Is this possible?
I understand there’s the slider module in Page Builder, I figure I could choose flex slider and edit a slide, but where do I insert the image? I don’t see an upload image button or a url field for an image.
And lastly, if there’s no other way to create a slider without creating posts first, is there a way to exclude posts from appearing in the slider?
I hope I’ve explained myself clearly.
Looking forward to your answer.
Thanks!February 28, 2017 at 1:40 am #12158Hi, thank you for purchasing our theme

Could you let me know why you don’t want use post? You don’t want to link to single or not clickable within the slider? There maybe is solution to solve it, like some plugins can redirect link if you don’t want to link to single post.
Cheers!

Of all the themes I’ve purchased no one has replied to an inquiry as fast as you. I appreciate it.Yeah, I just wanted the possibility of having a regular slider feature, without it being related to a post. I guess I didn’t notice that when I purchase the theme, but it’s ok, If you could give me more information about the plugins you mentioned, I’d really appreciate it.
Although I think my issue could be solved if I could exclude some post from showing in the slider, like I mentioned in the last part of my inquiry. I didn’t get an answer on that.
Thanks again.

If you have question, please let me know.

One last thing. I assume then that EVERY post will generate a slider, and there’s no way to exclude a post from showing up in the slider, right?
What about if I have a hundred posts? will I end up with a hundred sliders?
Of course, if that’s the case I wouldn’t write a hundred posts, but what if I need to ?I think that’s a limitation, and an issue with the theme, there has to be a way to exclude posts from showing up in the slider. Am I missing something? Will categories help? Can I write posts and group them into categories and only show posts in the slider from certain categories?
Sorry if I’m bothering you with my questions, I’m just trying to thoroughly understand the theme.
Thanks!
March 1, 2017 at 1:25 am #12200Hi, welcome
You can create a category only for the slider, put the posts into the category. Choose the category within the slider. The posts without the category will not be shown in slider.
Best, Bwsm
