Hello,
After I installed SSL on my site, I experienced problems with Visual Composer. The problem occurred only for blog-grid’s created with visual composer on my index and blog page, where the images/blogposts thumbnail would never load to show.
I then was advised by the SSL plugin provider to update my visual composer, however as I cannot update VC, I opted to delete it and then intended to download and activate the newest version. However I did not realise that I cannot download it, as it requires a certificate.
At this point I also started getting notification from wordpress that templates files were affected and that I should update my theme.
Therefor: Is there a way I can update my Air theme and thereby get the newest version of visual composer as well?
Right now the pages I build with visual composer are a big mess, so I would really appreciate help.
Thank you.
ChristinaAugust 19, 2019 at 8:21 pm #19237Quick update: I managed to reinstall Visual Composer back up, via the ftp server. So the site is not a complete mess now. But I still need to update visual composer/Air theme, to see if it will solve the issues I am having with thumbnail images not showing for post grid element.
Sincerely Christina
August 21, 2019 at 5:53 am #19246Hi,
I checked and found an issue, I searched the issue info to get the result, it should help you solve it https://stackoverflow.com/questions/36062447/visual-composer-grid-with-do-action-shortcode-is-not-working
PS: The visual composer is not bundled with Air theme, we use BM Pagebuilder.
Please refer to how to update theme: https://seatheme.net/forums/topic/how-to-update-theme/Regards!

Sorry, the Visual Composer is not a part of Our theme, I don’t how does it work. You could use “Blog Masonry” template to create the blog list page. All the demo pages are built page template and BM Pagebuilder.
I get this error in the front-end:
{“page_id”:4302,”style”:”all”,”action”:”vc_get_vc_grid_data”,”shortcode_id”:”{failed_to_get_id:\”vc_gid:1566408750092-6f957f15-65f8-10\”}”,”tag”:”vc_basic_grid”}It is what I found yesterday, I googled it to get this post: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/36062447/visual-composer-grid-with-do-action-shortcode-is-not-working
I think it should cause the image-no-shown issue also.Regards
August 22, 2019 at 11:03 am #19292Hi,
Thank you for finding a solution that should solve the no image showing issue. Unfortunately it is not really realistic for me to do myself, with my current skills set.
As for the Blog Masonry template, is there a way that I can adjust it more than what I see in the editor now?
1/ I would like to add first a header and a small paragraph to to the top of the page (I do not want to show header on all pages though, just this one) If I ad another element to the page now, it is placed underneath the post grid.
2/ I would like to add a category filter under the header + paragraph
3/ I would like to change the spacing between the blog posts horizontal lines, so that it look less cramped
4/ As the template is now, it is cutting off the blog title text lines. See 3. blog posts on the on page, and the word ‘Oprydning’. The bottom of the text is overshadowed by something.
5/ I actually don’t want a masonry style blog grid, but just a regular aligned gridThank you
ChristinaAugust 22, 2019 at 11:31 am #19293Hi again,
Sorry, I found out that Grid List was much closer to what i wanted. Please disregard the last message I sent.
I am testing it here: https://shigaorganisering.dk/test-blog/
Just a few things here as well:
1/ the spacing is different from what is shown in the demo here: https://seatheme.net/wp/air/home3/
How do I adjust space between header and heading1?2/ I want to show all post by default + filters with the categories. The same as in your demo (https://seatheme.net/wp/air/home3/)
A – However if I choose to leave “Choose a category” in the editor then all filters are shown in front-end, but no posts are loaded in front-end.
B – If I do choose a category in the editor the post do load in front-end, but only that one category is shown in front-end.
What are the correct setting I need to make to make this page the same as the demo-page?Best
ChristinaAugust 23, 2019 at 12:20 am #19300Hi,
The normal posts only are shown in “Blog Masonry” template, the demo3 page can show single gallery format posts only.
Could you consider to use SEA theme? There is no limitation in SEA theme, the Gird is built by our new builder. You could submit refund of Air to get the SEA theme.
Regards!
August 23, 2019 at 11:43 am #19305Hi,
I am not prepared to change theme. Thank you.
When you say normal posts, do you mean standart?
All my posts are already standart gallery posts. Do I need to select other settings for them to show up in the blog-page?Can you please let me know what I need to do, in order to make a page identical to https://seatheme.net/wp/air/home3/?
Thank you
August 24, 2019 at 12:35 am #19311I mean the standard, image, audio, video formats will not be shown. You need to organize the category, refer to: “The MUST-READ for Portfolio, Category and Filter … ” https://seatheme.net/forums/topic/air-wordpress-theme-faqs/#post-15240
