Hi,
I’m experiencing a blocking issue with the WordPress editor when trying to edit pages or creat new one using BM Content Builder. TUpon opening the editor, I get the following error message:“The editor has encountered an unexpected error.”
What I’ve already tried (unsuccessfully):
– Reinstalled WordPress from scratch
– Reinstalled the theme
– Deactivated all plugins one by one (so now I know that the crash occures only when BM Content Builder is activated)
– Cleared browser and plugin caches
– Tested on multiple browsers (Firefox and Chrome)Thank you in advance for your help,

I checked your WordPress. I added a new page and edited several existing pages. All the editing processes went smoothly without encountering the error you mentioned.
But when I checked the page named ‘portfolio’, it did take a relatively long time to open. I noticed that the file sizes of your images are too large for the webpage, which can affect the loading speed and SEO. You can refer to this tutorial to optimize the image file sizes. If the problem still persists, please post a screenshot of the error message. Thank you.
Regards!

I’m certain that’s images size is not the issue : the site used to work perfectly with files of similar size.
The problem still persists. I don’t understand why you have access to the pages and I can’t.
I would like to past the code here but it doesn’t work. May I send it to you by email?
Best regards,
LorraineJuly 22, 2025 at 9:04 am #31684Hi again!
The issue occurs only when I’m logged in with my main admin account.
When I log in using a new admin account, everything works fine. The JavaScript error is related to components.min.js and react-dom.min.js.
This suggests the issue is related to corrupted user-specific preferences, most likely stored in the database (usermeta), possibly related to the builder interface.Do you have an official method for resetting BM Content Builder preferences on a per-user basis? Alternatively, could you share a list of the usermeta keys that your builder uses, so I can safely remove them for the affected account?
Best regards
July 23, 2025 at 2:26 am #31686Hi,
There are no user preference settings in the BM builder. These two JS files do not come from the builder plugin. This problem is very strange. I have never encountered it before. You can try switching to another browser to test again. If the problem persists, may I test it with your main account?
Regards!
