I have just installed aside theme in my blog “alvaromadrid.com”, and i wonder about the requirement of revolution slider.

This plugin is recently well-known because of serious problems about security etc… . Is it mandatory to install it ??

if so, where to find the right version? in wordpress.org in plugins section it does not appear right now, and also appear a “Revolution slider patch plugin” , would it be correct to apply this patch?

If i do not install it, what problems can i have?, can i use others sliders?

Im talking from a complete beginner position, so i have just installed the theme and i have not tested anything about it.
